Calling any writers…

charmslithe:

Particularly ones who are familiar with script writing and have a good deal of knowledge about Sherlock Holmes…(My apologies for using that tag - feel free to skip this if you’re not even faintly interested)

I’ve been working on a project for a while about a teenaged female Sherlock Holmes. It’s meant to eventually be a youtube series. Anyway, I need people to help me come up with plots, story arcs, ideas, and possibly story boarding. Of course, I intend to do most of the work and I already have some stuff in my head.

I’d love to get some of you involved in some way, so drop something in my ask if you’d like to know more. I could arrange this over Skype if that happens to be good for most/all people. If not, I’ll find some way to arrange everyone to get to talk to each other about stuff/with me. Yeah? Okay.

Thanks for reading this.

((We actually already have a Tumblr and our e-mail is BeforeWatson@gmail.com if you had a file with some sample text you wanted to send along, or something..))

I’ll make a few points of clarification in the hopes that that might encourage your interest. Mainly, I need a few people to work out plot points with. I’m not requesting you invest a butt-load of time. Though you’re welcome to get as involved as you like.

You won’t be writing full episodes off the bat, and I’ll be explaining in some more detail a few of the overarching themes and the current ideas I have for the characters. In the end, I’ll write everything up.

I hope that helps inspire your interest, and thank you for reading on.

I really wish that therapy would help me instead of making me feel intense guilt because I really should talk to someone. But I can’t. I will just have to focus on other things. Like anything. I’m not even feeling the poetry of it. Not totally. I like to think that I am a good writer but sometimes I’m just fucking nothing at all anymore.

Self Evident Truths

S. Ross Browne

Ummm…I am so VERY into this right now!

But Black people in period or fantasy settings totally makes the stories unreal.

Also holy shit I love these.

How come I don’t run across this stuff regularly?

Because of racism and the retroactive erasure of POC in Medieval Europe. Pretty much the same reason you almost never see these works of art either unless you’re already looking for them:
